Inaugural Post

Welcome, everyone, to the inaugural post of Chaplain Robb's Reclusiam!  As you you may have guessed from the description of this blog, I intend to focus on numerous aspects of the miniature gaming and modelling hobby.  I've been building models since I was a small child, starting on cars, fighter planes, and Star Wars models.  A visit to a local hobby shop, Bear Productions if I recall the name correctly, introduced me to Gamesworkshop models at the age of 14.  Those first models were sloppily assembled and even more poorly painted, but clearly awakened something in me, as I have continued to fiddle with such toys for almost two decades now!  Right now, I am focusing on my Khador army, as well as a Trollblood battlebox and some terrain, as well as helping a friend of mine finish some commissions he's working on (I'm doing the basing and any requested terrain, since he's the much better painter).

The original cast of pIrusk.  I think this pose captures his essence better than the new one.

You can find me online under the pseudonym ChaplainRobb on every forum site to which I contribute.  I must admit that I don't post as often as I would like, but I do enjoy perusing the work of others and, occasionally, sharing my own.  If any readers have any questions or comments, I more than welcome your contributions!  Please don't hesitate to ask or share.

The blood-mad Butcher!  I really like this guy, and not just because he's one of my better painted 'casters.

As far as games go, I play Privateer Press' Warmachine and Hordes, Gamesworkshop's Warhammer and Warhammer 40k as well as their Specialist Games, Mordheim and Necromunda.  I dabble here and there with smaller imprints, and have contributed to several Kickstarter campaigns in order to get some nifty looking models from new companies.

Yeah, Vlad's base is sloppy here, I've tidied it up since the picture!

So, that's it for this initial post.  I hope to post more in the coming days, weeks, and months!  So please, stay tuned!
